Never Too Early To Look For Christmas Jobs

It may feel as though the summer has only ended and you’ve just finished cleaning all your festival gear, but if you want to grab some extra money over the Christmas holiday it is never too early to start considering seasonal event work for the festive period.

Here are some suggestions on where you may find temporary jobs this winter.

– Grottos

Whether you fancy yourself an elf, Mrs Claus or even Father Christmas, nearly every shopping centre, fair and market will have a Santa’s Grotto, so it is worth considering donning a costume for a couple of weeks to make the most of the short-lived event.

What’s more, it’s a pretty easy gig as you just have to look the part, have a friendly chat with children, and of course, be jolly!

– Christmas shows

Wintertime is a great occasion for families to head to the theatre to see pantomimes or Christmas shows, so you could look for extra stewarding opportunities during this time. If you have experience stewarding, this will certainly put you in a good position to get a job easily and it will leave you enough time in the mornings to get your Christmas shopping done.

– Store work

Of course, Christmas is the busiest time of the year for shopping, so why not capitalise on this and apply for temporary shop assistant roles? You will be in high demand over the festive season, particularly as stores open late every night, and lots of people leave their buying to the last minute!
